Abstract
LD is an illness that results from a tick-bite. The most known symptoms of LD include headache, fatigue, fever, and skin rashes. Its prevalence occurs in people of all ages but appears more common among females. Additionally, it affects all people from all races but is more common among Caucasians. The erythema migrans skin rash is found in approximately seventy to eighty percent of cases and can be seen as an erythematous skin lesion at the site of the tick bite. If LD is not promptly addressed, it may spread to the nervous system and affect the heart and joints. Research findings show that the frequent change in climate has significantly led to an immense increase in deer ticks. Additional factors contributing to the transmission of LD include major alterations in host species populations, such as deer. Other factors include the increased understanding of LD among people, setting and taking precautions against tick bites, spending less time outside, and checking carefully for ticks, especially for people who work outdoors, such as farmers.
