The rising cases of patients with diabetes call for the development and adoption of effective interventional measures to address the chronic health problem while also helping in the management of the existing cases. My practicum in the clinical speciality of diabetes creates an excellent platform for developing such measures as it provides an opportunity to expand my current knowledge on the healthcare issue and using the experience as an excellent tool to impart knowledge and skills on nurse learners. The diabetes clinical speciality covers both type 1 and type 2-diabetes among patients across the age and gender divide, which allows for a comprehensive understanding of the underlying features to help in the development effective teaching strategies on the same as a nurse educator.
