Research Paper Instructions:

Hello, this is my friend's account -- she referred me to you and she gave me her login info for this account, since this is the only way that I can use you as a preferred writer. I really like the quality of your work. I am currently in the same course that she was in, so my assignments are the same -- except the facility I work for is different and my PICOT question/problem description is different. Essentially the goal is to combine all sections each week (this course is 7 weeks) and tie them into one cohesive research paper. I have section A/week 1's work complete (we are on section B/week 2).
I will attach the paper I have for "Organizational Culture and Readiness Assessment" that was completed for section A/week 1 -- so you can build off of it. I will also attach my PICOT question/problem description that I chose, rubric for this assignment, as well as syllabus instructions. Please feel free to text me with any questions.
THE SYLLABUS INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
"Section B: Problem Description
Points Possible: 36 points
Due: Sunday, 11:59 p.m. EST/EDT
Write a paper of 500-750 words (not including the title page and reference page) on your proposed problem description for your EBP project.
The paper should address the following:
Describe the background of the problem. Tell the story of the issue and why it deserves attention. Identify the stakeholders/change agents and who or what organizations are concerned, may benefit from, or are affected by this proposal. List the interested parties, patients, students, agencies, Joint Commission, etc. Use the feedback from this week’s (Week 2) Discussion Board post, and refine your PICOT question for the final proposal. Make sure that the question fits with your graduate degree specialization.
State the purpose or goal and project objectives in specific, realistic, and measurable terms. The objective should address what is to be gained. This is a restatement of the question, providing focus on how to answer the question.
Provide supportive rationale that the problem or issue is an important one for nursing to resolve; use relevant professional literature sources.
Develop an initial reference list to assure that there is adequate literature to support your evidence-based practice project. The majority of references should be research articles. However, national sources such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Department of Health and Human Resources (HHS), or the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and others may be used when you are gathering statistics to provide the rationale for the problem.
Once you get into the literature, you may find there is very little research to support your topic and you will have to start all over again. Remember, in order for this to be an evidence-based project, you must have enough evidence to introduce this as a desired practice change. If you find that you do not have enough supporting evidence to change a practice, further research would need to be conducted.
The grading guidelines for this assignment are in the rubric section of this syllabus. Upon receiving feedback from the instructor, refine Section B: Problem Description for your final submission. This is a continuous process throughout the course for each section."

Background of the Problem
The Problem
Healthcare workplace violence is as oppressive actions against healthcare workers who work in the clinical setting. This involves physical and psychological abuses, including offensive physical and verbal attacks, racial and sexual harassment, maltreatment, and co-workers’ threatening (Sharma & Sharma, 2016).
Gooch (2018) reported that in 2012, two violent events happen in every 100 beds in the United States, which was increased to 2.8 in 2015. The majority of violent events are attributed to aggravated assaults, which comprise 44% of the total number of events. Moreover, the assaults often ensue in the emergency rooms (ERs), which comprise 46% of all the locations. This is followed by the in-patient and psychological units, respectively. Since nurses are part of the primary health providers, they are principally exposed to these situations.
Stakeholders
Nurses are one of the stakeholders of workplace violence, and they are one of the most assailed workforces in the medical field. They are subjected to abuses by the patients, patients’ families and peers, and colleagues, leading to adverse psychological effects such as fear, anxiety, distrust of hospital administration, frustration, and reduced job satisfaction (Sharma & Sharma, 2016). In turn, the lack of security leads to low quality of care for the patients and a lack of proper communication with colleagues. From these people, the typical perpetrators are the patients (Gooch, 2018).
Additionally, this affects the economic aspects, resulting in difficulty recruiting qualified nurse staff and adversity in prolonging their work retention rate. Therefore, violence prevention strategies are necessary for the healthcare settings to ensure the nurses’ safety, thereby improving the quality of care delivered to the patients (Sharma & Sharma, 2016; Gabrovec & Eržen, 2016).
Gooch (2018) also stated that healthcare workers have more predisposition to become violently assaulted at work than the police or correctional officers. Additionally, female nurses have shown the greatest vulnerability among all the health professions. In a survey in the United States, 72% of the known assaulted individuals are nurses while in the United Kingdom, 97% are nurses.
