According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (or NCSBN), one of the main reasons for trying to implement the “concensus model” is in order to have a uniform process for “licensure, accreditation, certification, and also education” for all advaced practice nurses in every states of the US CITATION ncsnd \l 1033 (ncsbn.org, n.d.).
