Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems

Research Paper Instructions:

This week the discussion thread is divided into the RUA groups, to help you get started on the RUA project as a group. Respond to the title of your RUA group with your initial response. (My title is CONSUMER ASSESSMENT OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND SYSTEMS) Use primary sources without duplicating primary sources among group members. How to search and identify primary sources are discussed in the WebEx this week.
Since this is different than the other weeks. Let me further clarify
Decide what area of the topic you are most interested in (consumer assesment of healthcare provider and systems.
Search that topic for a scholarly primary research article (not qualitative or expert opinion).
Present the article in a short paragraph. Describe a possible PICOT question.
Describe a possible PICOT question. and tell why the article would help answer the question.
Example Initial Post:
Hi all,
We have a very broad topic in the discussion of falls. After looking at the webpage we were given, I thought I would look up falls in the elderly since they lead to increased mortality and morbidity. Falls are not supposed to happen in the clinical setting but unfortunately, they do. I believe that the prevention of falls in the elderly especially those with comorbidities is important to all areas of healthcare. I did not use a PICOT question to begin my search, I wish I had as I had over 90,000 returned. I narrowed my search using some specific terms like over 65 years of age and added Parkinson’s disease. (Parkinson’s disease is a special area of interest for me.)
I found a study conducted by MichalskaI, Kamieniarz, Brachman, Marszałek, Cholewa, Juras, and Stomka (2020). They did a comparison of two scales to determine if there is an objective predictor of the fear of falling and actual falls in the elderly. There were 32 subjects in the study, one group without Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and one group with PD. Michalskal et al., used the Falls Efficacy Scale International(FES-I) to measure fear of falling and the functional forward stability indicator (FFSI) was a measurement of the head of the first metatarsal bone and the ankle joint used to test the functional stability of the foot. Other indicators such as Berg Balance, Functional Reach test, Timed Up and Go tests, and Tinetti tests were also used to measure variables that can influence falling and fear of falling. They found that the FES-I and FFSI correlated with the fear of falling and stability limitations.
Based on this study, I would suggest that our PICOT question be: In the population over 65, can fear of falling and the functional forward stability indicator be used to predict those at higher risk of falling? I think this information found in the article would be of help in identifying other methods of fall prevention.

i have uploaded the file in which is one of my classmates works for the assignment. the PICOT question needs to be at the end of the assignment.

Parkinson’s DiseaseNameInstitution
My topic is consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems. Neurodegenerative diseases which include the Parkinson's disease (PD) are prevalent. The data and information on the commonness of Parkinson's disease (PD) is scarce. An investigation into the popularity of Parkinson's disease (PD) in adults 62 and older was the primary goal of this study. Researchers used a multistage cluster sampling design to conduct a cross-sectional survey which based on the population of the people. Individual with older ages, heavy metals or preservative exposure, urbanicity, eye movements, sleeping behavior patterns disorder, and cardiovascular disease were all found to be independent risk factors for Parkinson's sickness. Parkinson's disease (PD) prevalence in people 65 and older has remained stable. I choose the article because it states all the facts about the disease. Men are more likely to develop Parkinson's disease than women, and urban regions have a higher prevalence than rural areas. They compared two scales to see if fear of deteriorating and actually falls in the ...
