Obesity during childhood affects children’s health due to excessive oil deposits on their bodies and the term used to refer to obese children is overweight. There have been no ways of measuring obesity in kids but to use body mass index which is produced by finding the ratio of elevation to mass. Awareness of symptoms of eating disorder obesity in kids should be doe professional, families should be taught on their importance or relevance in the diet of their children last but not least the effects of overweight on both children and adolescents should be educated to parents.
Creating awareness about the symptoms of eating disorders in order to reduce negative thoughts in adolescent and children. Overweight can occur to people who have grown into adults because they already have a record of obesity in their blood. Some of the symptoms include: being dissatisfied with one’s body, having thin-ideal and pear pressure of being thin as it’s idealized by many. Restricting diet in order to lose weight is most common especially on adolescents who undergo many changes during this stage (Cena et al, 2017).
