Please select 2 new articles which are research studies for analysis for Week 5. Do not select a review or meta-analysis. Examine the outline of the article: Are all the components there? What does the methods section contain? What is the sample? Does it describe a population? or Does it describe a search for studies? If you are not sure about the type of study, ask me. Send an email containing the full reference. You may send a Permalink but do not send a link to your search.
if you are not sure of the article, send me a permalink and I can send it to my professor for confirmation.

Clinical Problem
Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) pose significant health problems to patients admitted to health institutions. They can be transmitted from patients to patients, physicians to patients, or surfaces to patients. For example, sharing rooms, utensils, medical equipment, and beddings that are not well-cleaned, disinfected, or sterilized can lead to the transmission of HAIs (Houser, 2018). My group focuses on the survey of HAIs. This issue is significant since it can cause more health complications to sick people admitted to hospitals. The outcome of the problem can be death or prolonged hospital stay. Based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1 in every 31 patients admitted in hospitals contract at least one HAI daily (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (2018). The Emerging Infections Program HAIs and the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) have made it clear that HAIs are significant threats to patients’ quick recovery and well-being. The primary purpose of the paper is to survey HAIs, develop proper identification strategies, and implement proper policies that can help hospitals to prevent HAIs. My paper will describe ways to eliminate HAIs, such as providing infection control education, washing hands regularly, and disinfecting or cleaning surfaces. Additionally, it will show how the results of the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and System (HCAHPS) survey reduce the patient outcome of HAIs.

Besides, admissions in the intensive care unit increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. D – HAIs.
I – Proper strategies, therapies, and drugs. QuantitativeN – 611 sick individuals were admitted to Teaching Hospital for Infectious and Tropical Diseases’ intensive care unit in Belgrade, Serbia, from April 2019 to April 2021 (Despotovic et al., 2021). SurveysDuring the two years, about 114 patients contracted at least one HAI. These patients’ demographic and clinical characteristics varied. Over one HAI was identified in 46.5% of patients admitted to the hospital, and about 163 HAI episodes were confirmed with 226 isolates (Despotovic et al., 2021). The common diagnosis was bloodstream infections. On that note, it was evident that HAIs pose significant health problems to patients admitted in intensive care units, which is why such infections should be p...
