Action Taken For Nursing Reform And Restructuring
The Trump administration orchestrated the Restoring Access to Medication Act of 2019 that reversed the Affordable Care Act. The legislation made medical insurance expensive hence few could be insured. The quality measures and the performance for pay are novel strategies for improving nursing care. The emerging nursing leadership and management roles will transform and guarantees patient safety besides improving nursing care service delivery. Emerging trends like the personalization of care, telehealth, and telemedicine require nursing roles to change to match such developments. The US healthcare delivery system must be reformed.
A Current Or Emerging Health Care Law
The 2019 tax law is repealing the Obama Care Act will have serious ramifications on affordable healthcare. The most recent federal law legislation is the Restoring Access to Medication Act of 2019, which effectively repealed the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (Kantarjian, 2016). This is because the tax law will have a reversal of the Obama Care, which will result in expensive insurance premiums. This will make the nurses less pressured to perform in their respective roles. Consequently, the nurse’s responsibility for the outcome of patients will be reduced (Kantarjian, 2016). Additionally, there is likely to be a high readmission rate, given that the reversal of a performance-based approach will encourage a fee-for-service system. The latter will lock out all the Americans who can’t afford healthcare.

Quality measures like measuring the healthcare processes, patient perceptions, and organization system effectiveness are crucial and often improve patient outcomes. This is because such quality measures boost the quality and standards of healthcare service delivery besides creating a positive perception among the patients. Pay for performance improves patient outcomes because the remuneration of the nurses and doctors is based on the value of the services they offer to the patients. Such value is often established from reducing readmissions and patient feedback (Pedersen et al., 2018). Quality measures and pays for performance positively impact the nursing practice. The nurses are compelled to deliver quality services. The nursing role expects that the nursing services meet the patient’s needs. The responsibility of the nursing role is that nursing services are offered to the expecta...
