Introduction
Over the years, much of the health care services have been controlled by the key players including the health care facilities and the insurance companies. As such, most of the patients have found themselves in a tight spot as they try keeping up and at the same time getting the best health care services that they can afford. However, the platform has changed with advocacy of health care services that are centered towards the patients to enhance their satisfaction.
Definitions
Patient Centered Care relates to the aspects of providing health care services with reference to the individual patients and their preferences (Epstein & Street, 2011). This means that the health care provision mechanisms and policies are geared towards making sure that the medical teams respond to the patients/family values and needs, whenever they are making any decisions and at the same time being respectful to the patient and family with reference to their decision and dignity as a fellow human being.

In the case of the health care providers, they have to involve the patients in the services provision without prejudice to any culture. At the same time appreciate the differences in their cultures and that of the patients and work with them in utmost respect.
