The specific PTSD symptom cluster considered in this inquiry includes avoidance, intrusion, negative alterations in cognitions and mood, and alterations in arousal reactive. To achieve the goals of the study, the researchers identified differential associations of PTSD clusters with positive emotion dysregulation. Approximately 371 individuals who were exposed to trauma were recruited to participate in the study. Using a regularized Gaussian Graphic Model that covered four nodes representing PTSD clusters, the researchers established the important role of arousal and reactivity as well as intrusion clusters in the PTSD group. Moreover, the study also established the essential relationship between arousal and reactivity and positive emotion dysregulation dimensions. Subsequently, the current empirical findings highlight the potentially significant role of PTSD symptom clusters and positive emotion dysregulations. These findings were majorly drawn from the observed evidence in the study, making the research empirical.
Researchers followed a scientific method to reach their conclusions. The conclusions drawn from the study were mostly drawn from the evidence. The use of quantitative method to collect and analyze data further reduces the possibility of researchers’ bias. Therefore, the findings can be applied to a clinical setting, given that the sample is reasonable. The evidence can also be used to support the relationship between PTSD cluster symptoms and emotional dysregulation.
