Your nonprofit organization’s leadership has never conducted any form of online fundraising nor have they used social media to promote their organization. You have been asked by the CEO to research the values of online fundraising and the use of social media and share your findings with your boss. Write a memo to CEO explaining the donor development strategies your organization could be using.

Market research analyses show that online fundraising is a trend that most non-profit organizations are embracing. Focus group findings and surveys have proved that of online fundraising and use of social media is a platform that should be embraced since it has proved to be a success. We should also strive to align our fundraising channels with the trends and styles of young adults. This platform will improve our overall revenue significantly.
Online fundraising and advertising have the following advantages to any given organization that uses the platform:
* The organization will reach more people
* Major donors’ fear of being exploited will be reduced
* Gives our organization the chance to have multi-channel fundraising options
Organizations that are using this platform have already proved that it is a platform that results in significant improvement in overall revenues (Aubertin & Vaillancourt, 2001). This is because using online fundraising gives an organization the opportunity to reach more people. In the modern world, most of the people use the internet most of the time for most of their daily lives endeavors; shopping, banking and socializing are some of them. For this reason, embracing online fundraising and advertising then makes these people potential donors since they have a chance of checking our organization's website.
