Research Paper Instructions:

This assignment requires you to think about the conceptual and pragmatic aspects of the assigned readings and discussions throughout the course and analyse their impact on your own personal leadership style. You must reflect on your reactions, perceptions, and insights about leadership theory, and present an assessment of how it will shape your own approach to leadership moving forward. You should demonstrate specifically what you have learned about yourself as you move through the course.
For this assignment, you will reflect on concepts and theories covered during the course. The final submission must include:
 Leadership Theory and Practice
• Reflection on at least one concept or theory from each of the main sections of the textbook. For each of the five concepts/theories chosen, discuss one key aspect from this concept/theory that you found especially interesting. Why is it interesting, and how can you apply this in your future leadership role? This part of the paper should be approximately five pages long.
• Reflection pertaining to two of the textbook’s Leadership Practice/Know Yourself activities (called Leaders’ Self-Insight in older textbook editions). Summarize each activity very briefly and discuss why it is interesting and how you can apply this in your future leadership role. This part of the paper should be approximately two pages long.
• A summary of three key lessons learned, and how they will be applied to personal leadership development. In this section, focus on three broad areas of leadership, and share how your understanding of these has developed throughout the course. This part of the paper should be approximately three pages long.
(In addition to these ten pages, include an introduction and a conclusion, about ½ p. each. No abstract is required.)
The paper should be about 11 pages (double-spaced, 12-point font, not including title and reference pages). Use APA 7th edition (student version) formatting for the paper and the references.
Only use lessons/concepts and theories covered up to lesson 6 (Daft Chapter 9). We will not have gotten past that part of discussion at the stage this assignment is due. I have attached the syllabus and the text book so you can have any information you need. Please provide at a minimum 7 references for this paper.

Servant Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Leadership Performance
Becoming a leader with a deep understanding of global dynamics and ensuring one has a transformative influence on others in the business world requires a comprehensive awareness of varied leadership theories and concepts. The Daft (2018) textbook explores different learning experiences, leadership models, ideas, and lessons that future-oriented leaders can embrace to hone their skills. Interacting with these learnings is a life-changing exposure with the potential to mold an individual into a distinguished leader equipped with the correct leadership tools to address the complex challenges in the modern business world. According to Daft (2018), the business world continues to face persistent shifts that require adequately prepared leaders to deal with issues beyond the conventional ones, including technological, innovation, and creativity-related revolutions. Thus, this paper explores the diverse concepts and lessons emerging from Daft’s text and their applicability to my life as a future servant leader.
Concept/Theories Reflection
Part 1 of the textbook discusses varied concepts of what leadership means and strategies that leaders can employ to become successful. The idea of change in the type of leadership to collaborator from the conventional competitive form emerges as the most stirring learning in this section. According to Daft (2018), companies value their leaders to demonstrate their collaborative skills more than promoting internal competition among their subordinates. The author underscores that connectivity has gained momentum in firms, highlighting the need for team-generated values and outcomes rather than individual achievements. These changes have risen from the hyperconnected and highly networked era that demands leaders to exploit all the workers’ talents, skills, and ideas and not rely on a few exceptionally performing ones. Embracing this approach leads to collective growth, including the companies and their workforces.
The emphasis on collaborative-inclined leadership is interesting because of the rising need for teamwork in modern times. Technological advancements have created dynamic work settings, with some remote workers while others complete their tasks within the company premises. These work environments require increased teamwork to coordinate and maintain healthy professional relationships. As a result, leaders must explore cooperation and compromise to foster such an environment and promote mutual support among their workers (Daft, 2018). Learning about this shift in this text was transformative because it underlines areas I should refine to become a successful future leader. The teachings by Daft (2018) have informed me about the importance of preferring interactive and open communication to authority imposition to influence my subordinates and direct them towards the company vision. Such an approach will significantly streamline my future leadership and enable me to challenge my teams...
