The web-based company I have chosen for my project is Alibaba Group Holding Limited. It is a Chinese multinational company that has specialized in retail, technology, Internet, and e-commerce. Alibaba was founded in April 1999 by Jack Ma and is famous the world over for providing business-to-business, business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer sales services and cloud computing services. The conglomerate sells all of its products through web portals and accepts electronic payments through PayPal, e-cheque, credit card, debit card, and Skrill. Alibaba is known for its diverse array of businesses all over the world and is called one of the best companies in the world. I have selected Alibaba as the company’s profits and online sales have surpassed all American retailers, such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
