Logistical operations in an organization are complicated processes. The integration of information technology and logistics aids greatly in the requisite procedures. These processes are incorporated in the IT strategy to streamline the operations related with logistics in an organization (Lewis & Talalayevsky, 1997). The end result is an organization which enjoys enhanced productivity and flexibility to meet the market demand as dictated by buyers.
The aim of logistics in Target Corporation is to link the consumers, channels of distribution, development of raw materials in the production process, and procurements requirements so as to meet consumer expectations are adequately met. Logistics aim to harmonize all these operations at a cost that beats all competition into a submission.
