The Combahee River Collective Statement was one of the pieces that helped establish the importance of "intersectionality" in the feminist movement. Specifically, it was one of the ideas that have recognized that the general efforts against feminism were not enough for several factors that still differentiate the circumstances that women experience in their lives.
