Accordingly, this article would focus on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Masque of Red Death. One of the reasons for the fame of Poe’s The Mask of Red Death is the author’s unique way of creating tension. In the story, it could be seen that the climactic point was when Prince Prospero was face-to-face with the Red Death despite their efforts to avoid death itself. Like a thief at night, the Red Death confronted the Prince, similar to how previous figures have died.
