Child development can be a challenging experience, especially to those parents who do not understand the psychology of their children. The pressures of life can at times push parents to the wall. It is during this kind of scenario that children end up feeling neglected. Some children too, experience a life whereby they feel abused in one way or another. I agree with the article in the sense that such situations require informed guidance so that the effects of amygdala are mitigated in the most appropriate way. The adoption of these children to the right path will require resilience, attachment, a change in the style of parenting and arresting of neuro-development into positivity (Dahl, 2014).
