The single challenge of free will that is strongest is determinism. Determinism is a philosophical concept explaining that all events are determined by previously existing causes. In this regard, determinism is usually expected to impede freewill because people are never expected to act contrary to what they do. Therefore, whenever individuals intended to choose a particular course of action, their thoughts are curtailed by determinism. The preexisting human actions or expected moral behaviors impose barriers and limit people to act based on their free will. Therefore, determinism is the sing challenge to free will that is strongest because it imposes expectations on how people ought to behave.
