Adventure of Being Close to a Supernova and the Importance of Invisible Light

Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

1.You will need to do a little research to answer this terrifying question! If it's too scary, you can pretend you're writing a very factual horror movie! :-)
If you had to pick one, which would it be: to get too close to a black hole, to a a neutron star, or to a supernova? Choose your adventure and write a few paragraphs about what would happen, both scientifically and emotionally. Don't forget to have an engaging beginning, meaningful connections, and a definitive ending!
2. How does "invisible light" help scientists determine the age of stars?
3. Let's say you're writing an article about the discovery of the planet Uranus (as discussed in our zoom meeting in great detail! if you missed the meeting, you'll need to do some reading to learn about how the planet was discovered).
Please write a sentence that you could use as the ending sentence to your article; have it be in the format of a summary sentence that ties everything up in an interesting way. As I mentioned in lecture, this is challenging! Do you best, and we'll discuss and potentially make improvements together in our next meeting if needed.

The interesting bit would be seeing a massive star crumble and crush within a few seconds.
While being close to a supernova is potentially as deadly as being to a black hole or a neutron star, holding all factors constant, the two former can be considered deadlier for two reasons. First, there are incredibly high levels of gravity. Secondly, the radiations i...
