The speaker explains that people's decisions control their lives since every decision, no matter how minor, has an impact on their lives and those of others around them. According to the speaker, individuals can comprehend and govern their decisions, which can positively affect their lives.
The knowledge action gap refers to the disconnect between what individuals know and what they do. This gap may develop when people know what to do to attain a specific goal but do not take action to make that objective a reality. It explains the hesitancy in making judgments.
Metacognition is the ability to reflect on one's thought processes, including thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. It entails thinking about how humans learn, absorb information, and solve issues. Metacognition is an important aspect of learning because it allows people to assess their comprehension, identify weaknesses or uncertainty, and adapt their learning tactics accordingly.
