EXT. BACK STREET AVENUES-DAY 1
Light skinned girls clad in tight fitting cheerleader outfits walk in a formation along the sidewalk. Suddenly, they break into dance. Silence reigns. No music. The girl’s thumping feet is their soundtrack. Their strained breathing and pounding sneakers can be heard.
SLO-MO: We explore the vibrating bodies of dancers; their eyes brighten and sweat drops from eye brows amid the thundering sound of stomping feet and colliding hands. A dark skinned girl joins the dance. Her provocative dance moves, charming eyes and vibrating shoulders leave everyone speechless. The older girls try but fail to repeat her dance moves. Their light skinned bodies glitter in the bright Sunday morning sunlight.
CUT TO: TILES
EXT. ELLAIN’S BLOCK-DAY 1
ELLEANO, a slim tall15 year-old girl hastily exits through the living room and bangs the door behind. She walks past well-manicured lawns with headphones in her ears. She walks straight to a couch, sits down. She removes her iPhone, scans through the play list and presses play. We can hear the soothing sound of blues leak from her tightly fitting headphones. JACKIE, twelve year old African American girl sits with her silky black hair radiating in the afternoon sunlight. She sits on a pavement, facing ELLEANO. She draws something with a white chalk as JACKIE peeps over her shoulders and spots ELLEANO scanning through her magazine. JACKIE jumps onto the staircase, and sits on her right side.
The Camera pans. AGGREY, a 19 year-old boy waves as he walks by on the other side of the sidewalk. He stopped at stationary SUV, unloads fireworks from the car trunk, and hastily throws into a paper bag as if to conceal the content from onlookers.
At the extreme end of the block, DONNIE, 13, and CHERRY, 11, sit and watch as AGGREY does his thing.
CHERRY
He looks familiar.
DONNIE
(Amorously)
Umm, I love his dark brownish eyes, the bubbly nose, light skin and, ooh my God. The lips and the infectious smile. I love his..
CHERRY
Bad attitude.
DONNIE
Yeah, baby. He got a really bad attitude.
CHERRY
Did you not say he got boxes?
SLO-MO: The Camera is up-close on AGGREY, revealing details of his body, overlooking a shallow valley in the background field.
DONNIE
Yeah, right! He got stomach boxes. He is a tall order.
CHERRY
He is turning..
DONNIE
Bloom…
CHERRY
You mean bloom?
DONNIE
Nop. He is turning 18 in 30 minutes.
CHERRY
Ummm, Wherever. Gotta talk to him, baby.
DONNIE
Ummm, yeah. Catch me dead. I am out of here.

JACKIE

(Heavily sighs with a negative attitude)
