Economic Performance and Challenges
Afghanistan
The government of Afghanistan is made up of the provincial governors, the national assembly, the council of ministers and the president who is the head of state and commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The current president of Afghanistan is President Ashraf Ghani. The country has two vice presidents, Abdul Rashid Dostum, and Sarwar Danish. Tackling the problem of insecurities in the country will require the leaders to address internal disagreements and a political partnership that infuses all the levels of security organizations and has undermined ANDSF.
