Poets and writers use poetic devices to convey and emphasize ideas, emotions, and beliefs. The devices make the texts more appealing to the reader. In his poem, Keats uses several poetic devices to develop his themes and make the poem appealing and unique. Poetic devices are used the same way as literary devices, but only a few poetic devices are used in poetry. Some of the poetic devices that are used in the poem are discussed below.
Stanza; stanza refers to a poetic form containing several lines. This poem contains eight stanzas, with each stanza having ten lines. Therefore, there are 80 lines in the poem. Stanzas have been arranged to ensure each conveys a unique idea and uses various literary devices.
