Topic: Is arranged marriage an outdated practice that no longer fits in contemporary society or is there some reasons behind it that we could be benefited from?
Arranged marriages involves marrying two people when parents or elder members of the family agree to unite their children. The aim of arranged marriages is to cement the relationships between the two families, with the process decided entirely by the parents without the involvement of children. In the contemporary society, the concept of arranged marriages appears outdated and illogical because individual is empowered to make decisions and disregard anything that never aligns with their beliefs. While arranged marriages are outdated, there are many reasons that we can benefit from.
