I believe that marriage and mere relationships are entirely different. A relationship is just a tryout for love, while marriage is anchored on commitment and sacrifices (Cohen & Strong, 2020). People that are in marriage take the step of declaring to the whole world that they are ready to work as a team, while in relationships, it is optional to the couple if they want to make the romance public or private. Another big difference between marriage and relationships is that marriage properties are involved (Cohen & Strong, 2020). Couples seem to be more willing to trust their marriage partners with their properties than they trust those they are dating. In marriage, people can share all the financial information, including bank pins, but it isn't easy to give such private details in relationships. Finally, in marriage, people are more willing to solve problems than in a relationship where the option of letting go can be the easiest way out (Cohen & Strong, 2020).
