Homeland security has remained a fundamental aspect of the different departments mandated with the responsibility of deterring terrorism-related threats in the United States since the 9/11 attack. According to McEntire (2018), the government has implemented diverse programs and channeled significant funding to support the various institutions advancing homeland security agendas. These efforts have enabled the stakeholders to achieve important milestones, improving the nation’s security status. Despite these gains, a general awareness exists that the terrorism threat remains unabated, demanding that institutions stay alert and prepared to counteract any potential hazards. Among the many activities and responsibilities outlined in the homeland security act is the information-sharing mechanisms that determine the effectiveness among the diverse players in homeland security. Different researchers have identified loopholes in this realm, leading to studies exploring emerging aspects to provide recommendations for improvements. One of these is the research by Lambert (2019) investigating the information-sharing challenges using “Kotter’s Leading Change Model.” Thus, this article review analyses the purpose of the study, the importance of examining the subject, approaches used, emerging results, and the impact of the findings on the homeland security field.
