You will also get practice in communicating science to a public audience, something you will do more of this semester.

My experiences with PSYC 100 across weeks 1 and 2 entailed understanding why I chose to study psychology instead of behavioral science. Simply put, studying psychology without learning about behavioral science is infeasible. It was surprising to know that behavioral science and psychology are closely interrelated. Additionally, this week's lessons gave me practical tools to handle challenges working with colleagues and even more so within the business world. Psychology helps understand interactions among individuals or organisms within the natural world. Understanding these interactions entails a systematic investigation and analysis of animal and human behavior via the experimentation of previous, well-ordered, naturalistic reflections of the present and thorough scientific investigation. Learning that behavioral science is geared towards accomplishing authentic, objective inferences via observation and interpretations was thought-provoking (Uher, 2021).
