Scenario

Executive Summary
Following the concerns made by the legal team, the issues raised prompted further review to address the legal repercussions that could arise. Therefore, several recommendations were made to address the legal requirements in truth in advertising and data collection and privacy issues. Moreover, the ethical concerns raised in the case, targeting the low-income populations, transparency in language, collection and use of consumer data have been noted and prosper measures proposed. The ethical issues raised by the legal team have been addressed through clarity of the objectives of the marketing project and revision of critical ethical matters regarding the welfare of the target group.
Addressing the Two Legal Requirements
Truth in advertising: Analysis and recommendations
The noted issue in this section is that some of the ad lines have been noted to have some superficial information and not detail all the claims made about the program benefits. One such line is that the more people buy from the company, the more they give off donations to the entity by supporting the rewards program. However, this kind of language has been withdrawn from the marketing plan, and now, the support programs for the community will be implemented based on sales made within and outside the targeted marketing region.
The use of schools will also be withdrawn. These are minors who will be used to market the organizations, products to their families and community at large. While the young ones make a good target for marketing, the approach is wrong, and only the learning institution can be made marketing partners without involving the young ones. Therefore, instead of having the learners as brand ambassadors, the program will focus on having the schools as a marketing partner where the organization will support substantial projects that the parents and the community can appreciate.
The agenda is discounting the credit feed, or the swiped cards to the brand ambassadors negatively affects their authenticity as they market the brand. There is a need to reward the brand ambassadors, but not through discounting the charges levied on their swipe cards. With the previous strategy, the brand ambassadors can be motivated to dupe the consumers because they benefit from the organization more than the consumers. Therefore, leveling the grounds and making everyone in the community a brand ambassador is the best bet for the organization. This strategy will be realized through committing to support community programs and making everyone understand the benefit and values the organization offers to society. This strategy will ensure that no one gets any hidden benefit from the organization, and everyone in the society gets equalized benefit from the organization, whether they have bought a product from the organization or not.
Data collection and privacy: Analysis and recommendations
The current program involves collecting a lot of private data from the consumers. This data include...
