From this week's reading, most of the questions that I had as I started reading were answered, and this is something that made this week's reading very enjoyable. I also found the political theory presented, which explains why there was a ban on Earth-being from politics, to be very interesting. According to De la Cadena (2010), science and politics are two distinct things that cannot be mixed as depicted by the modern order of things. In this case, science represents nature while politics is used as an object representation of people and the state. As Steven Shapin and Simon Schaffer explained, the distinction arose from Hobbes and Boyle's quarrel, which entailed Hobbes denying the finding of Boyle's experiment, with the main claim being that an experiment could not have a public aspect.
