The proliferation of communications technologies and the media systems have contributed immensely to the changes in our day to day experiences in life. Some of these telemediated experiences and practices in the media activities and technologies include among others tweeting. The unique cultural practices in the society today according to this scholar include the sending and receiving of text messages, clicking and scrolling on-screen keypad interfaces and the watching and interaction with the display. Most of the citizens communicate through the internet, mobile phones, and the networked personal computers.It is entirely contrary from the previous eras when people mostly used face to face as the primary means of passing information from one place to another. The use of mobile text messaging is used so much in popular locations such as the crowded public transport venues, the stadia where people watch live games, in the hospitals and busy meetings among other venues. He pointed out these scenarios in the article to explain what is unique experimentally in this social world of high-speed connectivity. The existence of not only portable but also readily available communications technologies has facilitated persistent contact between groups and individuals in the society.
