Introduction
Coronavirus disease is a dangerous infection that affects the respiratory organs. The disease is caused by the coronavirus, which has been proved to be very contagious. The disease can spread from one person to another through contaminated aerosols, that is, through sneezing and coughing (Ciotti et al., 2020). Additionally, the virus can spread when a healthy individual touches a contaminated surface then holds the eye, nose, or nose. The health sector and the economy of the United States have been significantly affected by the virus. Some of the implications of the virus to the economy of the United States include disruption of the supply chain of goods, the decline in the hotel businesses, and the banning of social gatherings. In addition, small businesses were affected by the financial fluctuations, and some were forced to close down. In the health sector, the virus led to the death of many citizens of the United States (Watkins, 2020). In addition, the hospital facilities were overwhelmed as the demand for services significantly increased. This paper reviews the response of the government of the United States through the Centers for Medicare and Medical Services to Covid-19.
Immediately when then the Covid-19 cases were reported in the United States, the government announced various actions to enable the health practitioners and the government to contain the spread of the contagious virus.
