Case Assignment
For this assignment, you will write an organized and well supported Argumentative Essay using three or more points of analysis. You will be most successful writing on a topic that is of interest to you. The best ideas are topical; they are what people are talking about today. And remember that your thesis should be debatable; in other words, there has to be at least two sides to an issue for it to be considered argumentative.
A well-organized essay has a beginning, a middle, and an end. The beginning, or introduction, should include an opening sentence to grab your reader’s attention. Follow the opening sentence with a brief background on the topic or situation. The last sentence of the introduction is the thesis statement. The thesis states the main point of the essay, which in this case, would be a statement affirming the main point of view on the selected topic.
A well-supported essay includes supporting points, details, and examples. Each body paragraph must support (explain) your reasoning (rationale) using specific details. Each body paragraph must have a topic sentence that states the main point of the paragraph.
The conclusion typically summarizes the main points of the essay and/or closes with a lasting impression that connects the reader to their world.
This essay must include a combination of no less than SIX in-text citations from two or more credible and reliable sources. Citations are to be a combination of direct quotations and paraphrased quotations with or without the author's name, and a Reference List in APA Style must be included.
Be sure to proofread your essay and edit for proper grammar, punctuation, diction (word choice), and spelling, as errors in sentence skills will lower a final grade. A grade will be determined based on the Module 3 Case expectations and the Trident University General Education rubric for English.

Should People Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 Wear Facemasks
Do you know or heard in the news of any individual who has contracted COVID-19 after being vaccinated? In particular, the government has emphasized the significance of coronavirus vaccination. By doing so, it has shown that it cares for the wellbeing of its citizens. People should take COVID-19 seriously since it is a deadly virus that has killed millions of individuals. Coronavirus originated from Wuhan, China, in 2019, and up-to-date, it has no cure. However, the available vaccines are meant to boost the immune system of people so that COVID-19 cannot affect them severely. As such, should individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19 wear facemasks or not, particularly when going to public places.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at preventing coronavirus, including severe illness and death” (CDC, 2021). In other words, individuals who get fully vaccinated against coronavirus can be assured that they are safe and can resume their daily activities. Many large organizations have started campaigns encouraging their employees to be immunized to promote the safety of themselves and others. For example, when a parent gets vaccinated, he or she can save the lives of his or her children, colleagues, and the community. Since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in February 2020, the disease has killed many people worldwide. Almost everyone has seen how the virus is deadly, which is why individuals need to be vaccinated. Consequently, vaccines are crucial for people to return to their normal activities without the fear of being infected with COVID-19.
Although the CDC encourages fully vaccinated individuals to wear facemasks, when COVID-19 vaccines were discovered and approved, the same health organization told vaccinated Americans that they can go without facemasks. Some Americans were cautious even before the mid-May 2021 policy reversal by the CDC since a survey conducted during the same period indicated that 4 out of 10 vaccinated people wore facemasks (Nania, 2021). The question of whether to wear facemasks or not for fully vaccinated individuals was highly controversial. Although the CDC wanted people to resume their normal activities without the fear of coronavirus, the deadly virus continues to mutate. That is why all individuals should wear facemasks, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not. Besides, being vaccinated does not mean that a person cannot contract the disease.
Facemasks are essential since they stop the spread of COVID-19 through the air. They are a layer between an individual and the virus, which prevents the infection. Peter Chin-Hong argues, “the CDC mask recommendation targets areas in the U.S. with more than 50 new infections per 100,000 residents or that had more than 8% of tests come back positive during the previous week” (Chin-Hong, 2021). For example, Los Angeles County had over 10,000 cases of coronavirus infect...
