In my professional nursing career, one thing I am looking for is a good social working environment. Individuals working in a supportive environment can go the extra mile when giving aid to patients, which encourages them to make various difficult decisions. Another aspect I am looking for in my professional nursing career is an environment where advanced clinician programs based on certification and education are maintained. For this to be attained, an organization has to be willing to reward individuals financially for clinical advancement and education (AACN, 2002). The other thing I am looking for is a safe work environment where my physical and mental well-being is taken into consideration. When working in a good environment, an individual is provided with the necessary protective gear and is required to work for reasonable hours.
