Assad et al (2012), reviewed the pneumonia and flu vaccine effectiveness in preventing pneumonia among the elderly

The review aggregated research with different study designs.The reviewed focused on observation focused on studies that either studied the impact the influence of vaccines on reduced hospitalization and pneumonia prevalence.  The studies selected were conducted in the U.S, but there was review of one study conducted in Japan.
