As more and more states legalized the path to legalization has been wildly different, as you have seen so far in this course, this also varies significantly at the local level. This assignment is going to help you wade through the regulations so that you can come up with a bottom line on what it will cost to get started.
Using the research you conducted for the this weeks discussion you are going to create a memo to a potential investor for your cannabis initiative explaining:
The regulations you will need to follow in order to be in compliance
The local and state agencies that you will need approval from and what they need to approve (would also be good to include a timeline on how long the process is expected to take)
What are the barriers to entry?
Is there any funding available at the state or local level for what you are proposing? What are the rules and regulations around qualifications?
Breakdown the expenses that will be incurred in order to get started.
Your memo should be clear as to who your audience is, be informative, citing sources, and address at least the bullets above.
