Intelligence entails individuals’ abilities to think critically, learn from experience, adapt to new occurrences, and solve problems. Indeed, it is one of the aspects that make teams effective. A team with intelligent people is likely to address complex problems within a short period (Colvin, 2015). Members are likely to devise effective strategies to solve existing issues and predict potential challenges that might affect the team's effectiveness in the future. They also have a high likelihood to share ideas and opinions that help in improving how things are done. As a result, choosing team members based on intelligence improves a group’s effectiveness and efficiency.
Conscientiousness involves the ability of a person to handle all his or her duties thoroughly. Additionally, emotional stability shows that an individual can withstand challenging situations, cope with adversity, and remain highly productive throughout.
