Abstract
The primary purpose of this study is to show how patient liaison facilitates effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. In particular, a patient liaison holds significant responsibilities in the healthcare sector, including representing sick people to doctors, handling communication between care providers and patients, discussing the quality of medical services with patients, and explaining how medical insurance works to patients. In that light, this study will focus on the importance of patient liaison in the healthcare industry. Although physicians can offer quality medical services without patient advocates, it becomes extremely difficult for them to interact with sick individuals from different cultures, races, religions, or ethnicities. That is why patient liaisons are needed as intermediaries to ensure that healthcare providers can connect with their patients so that they can build and maintain trusting relationships. This research will be crucial in understanding the roles of patient liaisons by elaborating how they bridge the gap between doctors and sick individuals. Besides, healthcare providers cannot provide quality services to their patients if they do not understand their health needs in the first place.
Introduction

Although care providers can interact directly with the patients, in some cases, there exist barriers that hinder effective communication. That is the point when patient liaison becomes important in ensuring that healthcare providers and their patients can communicate well to enhance proper diagnosis and treatment. Without patient liaison to bridge the gap between patients and doctors, it can be challenging for physicians to comprehend the needs of sick people from distinctive cultures. My study is significant to the field of communication in numerous ways. Notably, it emphasizes the importance of effective communication in the healthcare sector, which facilitates the delivery of quality medical services to all patients without discrimination. Caring demonstrates the unique capacity of humans to love God, His creation, themselves, and others. Compassion and excellence are the two primary aspects involved in responsible caring (Schultze, 2005). Patient liaisons are communication experts who help patients and healthcare providers to understand one another. In some cases, physicians come across individuals from different cultures, races, religions, and ethnicities. During that time, the most significant thing is to know their patients’ needs regardless of the communication barriers that might occur.
