Apple Strengths and Opportunities
Apple strengths describe what the company excels at and what separates it from competition. Opportunities are Apple’s favorable external factors that could give it a competitive advantage. To match the strengths and opportunities, I would analyze the factors that make the company to succeed and compare them with the factors that give it an upper of gaining a competitive advantage. The goal is to see if the company can use its opportunities to excel or win. Apple, for example, can take advantage of the rising demand for cloud-based services as well as the growth of tablets and Smartphone markets to manufacture a wide range of products and build a good reputation (Prakruthi & Ramu, 2018). In other words, I would match the company’s strengths and opportunities by analyzing them to find out if the two are connected.
Business Weaknesses and Strengths
I would convert Apple’s weaknesses into strengths by using a differentiation strategy. This entails making the company’s products more unique and attractive to consumers. By doing so, Apple will maintain its high prices of products because the customers would have no alternative (Khan et al., 2015). The reason high price is a threat to Apple is that the competitors are offering products with similar features at a reduced cost. A differentiation strategy will make the company become more valuable and recognizable. At the same time, Apple will increase its product range.
