Tattoos have been around for a while now, traditionally tattoos were rare, but humans have marked themselves since the dawn of civilization, and it is not clear when this pattern started. There is no specific date of body marking or what we refer to as tattoos began to develop. Tattoo imagery ranges from numbers, patriotic signs, nature-influenced art to the wordings. Looking around us, these days tattoos are everywhere, for example on influential people, elected officials, athletes, movie stars, and pop singers. It is estimated in America alone that one out of fifteen Americans has tattoos. Tattoos do carry a different meaning in different religions and societies.
