Cultural Challenge-Restaurant Introduction Restaurants have various challenges in doing their businesses in the society. There are variations of the customer preferences and expectations, provision of the consistent brand experience which is very difficult making the enterprise to struggle to maintain their success despite the revolving challenges in the food and hospitality industry. Restaurants struggle with the reputation of the economy through which a brand can thrive or languish based on what notion clients have about them online. The bigger the restaurants the more difficult they are to manage and maintain according to the requirements of the customers. The current generation restaurant is difficult to manage because of facing numerous challenges caused by the changing preferences of the youth pertaining to foods and services. The purpose of this essay is to elucidate on how the cultural challenges influence restaurant business in the society. What I did and the observations I experienced In this case, I want to discuss on the reflection of my experience within the restaurant I visited during the excursion.The accommodation of many people in the restaurant was anew experience to me since I had never had time to dine with many people around me since I belong to a nuclear family. During the excursion, we visited different locations such as restaurants where I realized diverse cultural challenges. The challenges involved the kind of the food served in the specific restaurant which was not complying with my culture orientations. I visited different restaurants and about seven of them served the Chinese food, Korean barbecue, and American food. The restaurant I visited have different culture with delicacies related to foods and individual behaviors. I did a lot of things in the restaurant to discover more through association with people of different culture orientation while trying to adapt to new environment and foods that I am not to taking. Visiting different restaurants enabled me to have a diverse experience related to etiquette and ethics within the hospitality industry. The factor that has influenced and triggered my marketing abilities. Restaurant 1: Peter Chang (Chinese Restaurant) In this restaurant I enjoyed various delicacies such as Peking duck, hot Nubian beef dried eggplant, duck tofu soup and the stir fry shredded pork. Restaurant 2: Momo’s Café (Chinese Restaurant) In the restaurant, I savored some exotic delicacies such as Popcorn chicken, basil French fries, Pork broth soup, curry rice, green tea milk foam, and the Assam milk tea. Restaurant 3: Honey Pig (Korea BBQ) At the honey pig restaurant, I savored different foods such as boneless rib, beef tongue, hand sliced prime rib, steamed egg, soup, Japche, coke and sprite. Restaurant 4: Fishers Bakers (American Food) At this restaurant I enjoyed whirley pop kettle corn, Jambalaya chicken, and Jambalaya Chesapeake Restaurant 5: Dolan yoghurt restaurants (Asian Food) At Dolan, I enjoyed Asian delicacies such as hot chicken, stew, spicy, ding dong, flat noodles, and coke Restaurant 6: Ebbitt Grill (American Food) At the Ebbitt grill I enjoyed the crab cake that was quite delicious and of high standard preparation.
