Feeling toned complex is an emotional charge associated with a particular experience or object. The feeling toned complex can be positive, negative, or neutral, significantly influencing people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. When individuals encounter new experiences or objects, their minds quickly assign feeling-toned complexes based on past experiences and conditioning. In the case of Oizys, she has encountered several feeling-toned complexes throughout her life.
To start with, Oizys has endured great hardship and adversity. She has had depression and anxiety and is currently overwhelmed by feelings of melancholy, hopelessness, and depression(Jung, 2010). Oizys also reports having trouble sleeping, sleeping excessively, having a poor appetite, anxiety, low motivation, social isolation, fatigue/low energy, and low self-esteem. She endured sexual, psychological, and physical abuse and lost her two elder brothers when she was young. In addition, Oizys relationship with her controlling and criticizing parents has been challenging. She must receive the proper care and assistance to help her overcome her previous traumas and manage her current symptoms.
These feeling-toned complexes resulted in Oizys's splinter psyche. A splinter psyche is a phenomenon in which an individual's consciousness appears to be fragmented into separate identities or personas. These personalities may have qualities, actions, and memories distinct from the original identity of the individual (Jung, 2010). Often, splinter psyches are responses that individuals receive from severe trauma or abuse, allowing them to detach from their experiences and shield their minds from future injuries. The following are some splinter psyches due to Oizys's feeling-toned complexes.
