The depiction in the prose symbolizes someone who has either died or is insensitive to the things happening around him or her. Also based on the message of the text, it can also symbolize an individual who is depressed about life. He felt “…oozing away so gently, in so gentle and pleasing a fashion.” There is also application of musical elements such as repetition and rhyme. Therefore, the style of the text gives it a musical effect, with perfect diction that allows for easy reading and understanding the feeling of the speaker. He was experiencing a grievous experience that made him or her contemplate about a happy way to die.
