World War I topic was important to me as it made me understand the integral role the US played in this war. While a significant population felt that it was a mistake to enter the war as it was not affecting them yet, it brought about historical consequences. War should be avoided at any cost, but lasting solutions should come out of it is unavoidable. While the entry by America was marred by deceit such as propaganda to whip people to ask for war, it was amazing to discover how the country not only ably protected its countrymen and its allies but was able to bring Germany to its knees. What was more exciting is how it led to peace, stripping German its colonies and the rightful territories returned to their owner...
