Klemens von Metternich and Karl Max Criticism
The policy of Metternich depicts the stipulated scholar who believed that the new forces of liberalism introduced in the USSR could pose a significant threat to the survival of Australia. To him, nationalism was one of the major elements of liberalism that presented a fatal threat to the survival of the Australian people. According to Klemens, the nationalism revolution induced a 25-year-old revolution of terror and war (Sperber, 2021). He thought that these elements could destabilize peace which eventually would have suppressed Australia.
Karl Max rejected nationalism as he believed that the designated policy was a temporary form and unnatural act designed to manifest as the highest form of human alienation. His emphasis majorly lies on the economic basis. He delves into the aspect of the balance in relations between the capitalist and the employees in an inherently exploitative environment that the act of nationalism can provide. Max argues that the element of nationalism is not fit and essential for economic development.
