Humans are social creatures meaning they interact on a daily basis. During these interactions, problems tend to arise, and the ability to solve them makes individuals unique. Therefore, critical thinking is a major factor in solving problems. As for a successful solution, most of the time is spent thinking and analyzing the problem than implementing it. Thus, in my first assignment of the problem-solving skill (below), I will analyze the situation carefully to solve the problem.
The problem solving is without me breaking my child's confidence and excitement; I would have figured out the proper way for my child to understand some other required items in this project. The goal is to let my child be independent and make sure that he learns he has additional requirements. I would go into details about approaching this situation properly, and without full interfere in my child's project or less, my child really needs my help. Another focus is to allow my child to learn how to be responsible because this would help him gain more independent skills. Although I have seen another parent is doing the opposite doesn't mean they are not properly teaching their child independence. Everyone has different thoughts when it comes to their children's projects.
Defining the problem
As the initial step of the problem-solving process, defining a problem is significantly based on facts and not speculation. In this process, clearly define the problem to ensure you answer the right problem and note it down. Also, it is important to state the achievement you want to gain in the best way possible at this stage. In my scenario, the problem is to correct my child without breaking their confidence and excitement to make sure they grow to be responsible. My assistance is to make sure they deliver great work without me being involved in their project.
Analyzing the Problem
This process involves analyzing and evaluating the root cause of the problem. It involves identifying where the problem is coming from and taking a step back to assess the situation and changes that need to be done. In the scenario, my child needs my help even though my fear of interfering with their school work is projecting my inner child's issues as a parent.
