Ideal Work Environment
Over the past decades, studies have consistently shown a relationship between work environment and employee productivity. A research conducted among workers in the banking industry in Kurdistan Region in Iraq indicates that employee satisfaction is critical to productivity, pointing to the importance of an ideal work environment (Massoudi & Hamdi, 2017). Duru and Shimawua (2017) recommend that organizations need to establish programs that ensure good work environments that promote occupational heat and safety of employees and increase productivity. Besides, companies need to ensure that work environments are clean, tidy and properly arranged to facilitate comfort and easy movement for both employees and customers (Duru & Shimawua, 2017). Using past work experiences, this paper describes an ideal work environment, an evaluation of specific policies and practices creating a cohesive organizational culture, the managerial behaviors that should be common in a great working environment, and how ethics or morality and diversity issues affect organizations.

The workplace environment is a key component for employees’ work life since they spend much of their time at work and can affect their performance and health (Hafeez et al., 2019). There is also an association between behavioral environment and employees’ health. Behavioral factors that determine an ideal workplace include distraction, creative physical environment, ease of working, and social interaction (Hafeez et al., 2019). A workplace with such components ensures that employees are productive and motivated to work.
Evaluation of Policies and Practices
In today’s corporate world, the majority of companies are poorly focused on their organizational culture. Some specific policies and practices create a cohesive corporate culture (Young Entrepreneur Council, 2018). Letting employees play active roles is one of the practices that have made many organizations successful. Brainstorming ideas and collecting feedback from employees can significantly help teams to discover what is beneficial for a company. Building a positive culture also creates loyal employees as well as a productive team in an organization. Another approach that creates a cohesive organizational culture is caring for the local community. Companies should be ready to support cultural commitments in the communities they operate. An organization becomes a family when it cares and treats its workers like members of a family (Young Entrepreneur Council, 2018). For instance, practices such as ensuring em...
