What are the requirements to be a President of the US?
The first requirement is that a person should be a natural-born citizen in the U.S.
Secondly, one must have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years.
Thirdly, the maximum limit an individual can serve is two terms or 10 years in total.
What are the 4 jobs of the President as spelled out in the Constitution?
The President can serve in the following capacities:
* The Chief Executive Officer
* The Chief Diplomat/Head of State
* The Chief Legislator
* The Commander in Chief
What are the duties attached to each job?
As the Chief Executive Officer, the president is tasked with issuing orders to the government workers. These orders, however, should not contradict the laws of Congress. The President has the powers to issue executive orders which all the workers are expected to comply with, failure to which they lose their job. Further, the President is supposed to pick 15 cabinet members. These will be in charge of the various agencies. The cabinet members must be approved by the Senate. These members serve at the leisure of the President. Additionally, the President has access to more information than others. The resident receives information from various government agencies.
