Stress management is critical to achieving a state of homeostasis in the body. Effective stress management strategies help deal with short- and long-term stress. These strategies also reduce the risk of other health conditions such as depression, hypertension, heart disease, and obesity. Taking this class has taught me various stress management techniques that I have learned to incorporate when dealing with stress. Before then, I used pills to calm my nerves and manage stress.
