Gojek, an Indonesian startup conceived through the notion that everyday problem has a tech solution, has emerged as one of the most exciting startups in Southeast Asia.
Gojek was founded in the year 2010 as a motorcycle service company and has now transformed into a multi-service company, with over 20 app-based services (gojek.com par.1). The founder, Nadiem Makarim, was a motorcycle rider before he ventured into entrepreneurship and played a part in the initial development of an app-based solution to connect drivers with passengers, just like Uber.
