Assignment 3- Project Proposal
Write up a short proposal for your regression project, not to exceed 1 page.  You should tell me what it is you want to investigate, and your proposal should contain the following information:
What is the dependent variable?
Potentially, what are the independent variables?
Where (specifically) will the data come from and what is the approximate sample size?(You are to verify that the data are available at the source you site before submitting your proposal.) Note: Include the sample size.  You should have at least 30 degrees of freedom; more is better.
Will it be a time-series regression, a cross-section, or both?

The deadline for the proposal is 11:59pm Friday October 23. Although this homework assignment is only worth 5% of the final grade, failure to do the proposal properly will put you behind on the paper, which is worth 30% of the grade.

You can make changes to the project afterwards without my approval. For example, you can add independent variables to your model that were not mentioned in the proposal.  However, if you are going to completely change your topic, you should tell me.

For more information on the project itself, see the syllabus and Chapter 4 of the textbook.  The actual project is due December 3.  Additional information is posted on canvas.
